Welcome to Gazebo Textiles, cyberspace home for my original design one-of-a-kind or limited edition
wearables, in fabrics I hand-paint, batik or discharge. You can find Gazebo Textiles
in person at various arts festivals & crafts shows throughout the year, so check the Shows & Exhibits page often for
updates.
Artwork is such a personal thing; even though this is a business site, I've tried to include a little about
the things that interest & inspire me. In addition to what is shown here, I do Special Orders & am always
happy to work with a customer to create something just for them (colors, sizes, details).
So, enjoy the web site & be sure to check the bottom of this page for Something New, which will change
as I play & experiment. If you have questions or would like to purchase something, please contact me.
Wholesale inquiries are also welcome!!

Hand-painting - Painting colors onto fabric with paints especially made to remain
soft & not change the "hand" of the fabric, permanent & washable once properly heat set.
Discharging - The removal of color, using some type of "bleach" process to create a pattern
or design. An important step is to stop the discharge action to prevent harm to the fabric.
Batik - An ancient technique using melted wax as a resist to create pattern on fabric.
The paints or dyes will not go where the wax has been applied, leaving that area of the fabric unchanged.
News Alert: Gazebo Textiles is moving! My new studio space will be much bigger,
& there is plenty of room for small groups to come for classes. Contact me, kids 8 through adult, for sessions in
art, sewing, fashion design, surface design, quilting, etc.
